Since introducing an audio guide for the permanent collection in 1995, the National Gallery, United Kingdom, has worked with a range of different mobile experiences including podcasts, iPhone applications, and themed audio tours. Drawing on this experience, this keynote will explore how an institution approaches developing mobile experiences that both inform and engage museum audiences while meeting key organizational objectives.
