The American Association of Museums’ mission is to strengthen museums through leadership, advocacy, collaboration and service. AAM represents the entire scope of museums and professionals and nonpaid staff who work for and with museums. They currently represent more than 18,000 individual museum professionals and volunteers, almost 3,000 institutions, and 250 corporate members.
The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership is a nonprofit organization through which 26 arts, science and cultural institutions in Balboa Park, San Diego, collaborate to achieve greater organizational efficiency, innovation and excellence.
The The Museum Association of New York is the key strategic resource for the New York state museum community. Chartered by the New York State Education Department in 1962, MANY is a nationally recognized state museum association committed to strengthening the organizational development of the state’s diverse museum and heritage organization communities.
For over 90 years, the New England Museum Association (NEMA) has been the only organization in New England serving museums of all sizes and the people who work for and with them. NEMA’s mission is to strengthen member museums and museums in the region.
The Texas Association of Museums (TAM) was established for educational purposes, to provide a network among museums, to improve the level of professionalism within the museum community, to encourage the use and enjoyment of museums by all Texans, to serve as an information clearinghouse, and to serve as a liaison between museums and museums-related agencies and organizations.
The mission of the Virginia Association of Museums (VAM) is to serve as the resource network of the Virginia and District of Columbia museum community through education, technical assistance, and advocacy.
